How we got started

After turning wrenches as a kid with my dad and then later realizing that I had a passion for repairing vehicles and a passion for the automotive industry as a whole. I went to automotive school right out of high school. I completed two years at my local technical school in Emporia, KS and recieved a associates degree in automotive technology. I then went on to work in various independent shops and even owned my own automotive business for a little over 5 years in Kansas where I am from before moving to Texas. I have worked in the autmotive industry as a professional mechanic for a little over 14 years and decided in May of 2024 to start my own mobile mechanic business in Gilmer, TX (Down South Auto Repair). Over the past several months we have grown substantially to now opening a shop in Tyler, TX. During our time as primarily a mobile mechanic business we traveled far and wide, we served all of East Texas this side of Dallas.

We are a automotive repair shop based out of Tyler, TX. We also are a mobile mechanic business that services all of East Texas. We offer 24/7 roadside assistance for when you need gas, a spare tire put on, or a jump start. We also offer Roadside Repair if you are broke down and need your vehicle fixed no matter where you are; we offer this service up until 9:00pm or as long as we can get parts for your vehicle. We work on most makes/models, both foreign and domestic. We work on diesel vehicles. We work on lawn equipment, Utv's, and Atv's.
